Dr. Sushant Srivastava is a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon with three decades of surgical mastery. Serving as Chairperson of CTVS & Heart/Lung Transplant at Paras Hospital, Gurugram, and Senior Director at Artemis Hospital, he has completed over 11,000 cardiovascular operations.

His primary clinical expertise covers off-pump beating-heart coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), complex aortic root and aneurysm repairs, single and double valve repairs, minimally invasive valve surgeries, and pediatric congenital cardiac repairs.

Education & AIIMS Academic Footprint

Dr. Srivastava earned his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Patna Medical College, University of Bihar. He completed his super-specialty MCh in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 1994, under the mentorship of Dr. P. Venugopal.

He served as Assistant Professor of CTVS at AIIMS until 1998, managing donor protocols and participating in the country's first ten heart transplants.

Landmark Milestones & Leadership

Dr. Srivastava has achieved landmark surgical firsts in India, including performing the nation's first sutureless valve implantation, North India's first "awake" off-pump CABG without general anesthesia, and a successful beating-heart bypass on a 96-year-old patient.

Prior to Paras and Artemis, he held leadership roles as Senior Director at BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital, Chief Cardiac Surgeon at Batra Hospital, and Senior Consultant at Devki Devi Max Heart & Vascular Institute, Saket. He was named a "Rising Star in Cardiac Surgery" by The Times of India.
