Dr. (Col) Manjinder Singh Sandhu is Principal Director of Cardiology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), Gurugram. A decorated Indian Army veteran with over 35 years of medical experience, he is an AFMC graduate and DM-cardiologist from PGIMER Chandigarh. Dr. (Col) Manjinder Singh Sandhu is an interventional cardiologist and healthcare administrator in India. Serving as Principal Director of Cardiology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, he brings 35+ years of combined military medical and interventional cardiology expertise.
Having performed over 20,000 interventional procedures, Dr. Sandhu specializes in complex coronary angioplasties, carotid and renal peripheral vascular interventions, structural heart disease closures, Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT-D), pacemaker/ICD implantations, and transcatheter valve therapies.
Dr. Sandhu graduated with his MBBS from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune (1987). He earned his MD and DNB in Medicine from Pune University (1993), receiving the Lt Gen Inder Singh Gold Medal. He completed his super-specialty DM in Cardiology at PGIMER, Chandigarh (2001).
During his career in the Army Medical Corps, he served as Senior Advisor in Cardiology at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt, and Associate Professor at AFMC Pune.
Dr. Sandhu previously served as Medical Director and Director of Cardiology at Artemis Hospital. He served as accompanying cardiologist to the President of India on foreign state visits. He holds Fellowships from the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI).
