Dr. Ashok Seth

Dr. Ashok Seth is an interventional cardiologist in Asia. Serving as Chairman of Cardiac Sciences at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi, and Head of the Cardiology Council across Fortis Healthcare, he brings over 40 years of pioneering cardiovascular care.

Having completed over 70,000 cardiac procedures, Dr. Seth is credited with introducing landmark interventional techniques to the Asia-Pacific region, including directional atherectomy, angioscopy, drug-eluting stents, Impella heart pumps, and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVR).

Education & Overseas Fellowships

Dr. Seth completed his MBBS at J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (1978). He obtained MRCP memberships in the UK (1984) and Ireland (1986), followed by Fellowships from the Royal Colleges of Physicians (FRCP) of London, Edinburgh, and Ireland (1995).

He holds Fellowships from the American College of Cardiology (FACC), European Society of Cardiology (FESC), and Master Fellow status (MSCAI) from the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions, USA. He has been awarded six honorary Doctorate of Science (D.Sc.) degrees.

National Honors & Global Legacy

Dr. Seth has been conferred top civil and medical honors by the Government of India, including the Padma Shri (2003), Padma Bhushan (2015), and the Dr. B.C. Roy National Award for Eminent Medical Person (2017). He co-chairs TCT Scientific Sessions (USA) and EuroPCR Committees.
