Dr. Abhideep Chaudhary is Vice Chairman and Head of HPB Surgery & Liver Transplantation at BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi. US-trained with over 20 years of experience, he has performed more than 2,000 successful liver transplant and hepatobiliary surgeries. A former Chief Clinical Fellow at the Thomas Starzl Transplantation Institute (USA), he specializes in robotic liver resections, living donor transplants, and pediatric liver transplants.
Dr. Abhideep Chaudhary is an internationally acclaimed liver transplant and hepatobiliary (HPB) surgeon. He serves as Vice Chairman & Department Head of HPB Surgery and Liver Transplantation at BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi, bringing over 20 years of surgical practice.
He has completed over 2,000 HPB surgeries and liver transplants, achieving success rates comparable to global benchmarks. His surgical expertise includes living donor liver transplants (LDLT), deceased donor transplants, pediatric transplants for infants weighing as little as 5-6 kg, robotic liver surgery, and complex Whipple procedures.
Dr. Chaudhary earned his MBBS from Goa Medical College and MS in General Surgery from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi.
He completed a prestigious fellowship in Multi-Organ Transplant Surgery at the Thomas Starzl Transplantation Institute (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, USA), where he was appointed Chief Clinical Fellow. He holds fellowships from the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Before joining BLK-Max, Dr. Chaudhary launched and headed liver transplant departments at Jaypee Hospital Noida, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and Apollo Hospitals.
He serves as Treasurer of the Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI) and is a recipient of the Susruta Award for Clinical Excellence.
