Dr. Mishra is a highly experienced cardiac surgeon with over 29 years of specialization in cardiac surgeries. He has performed more than 19,000 open heart surgeries, including minimally invasive cardiac surgery, port access valve surgery, atrial septal defect closure, carotid artery endarterectomy, aortic aneurysms, extracorporeal life support (ECMO), cardiac arrhythmia surgery, total arterial revascularization, minimally invasive coronary artery bypass surgery on a beating heart, Bentall’s operation, and aortic arch and thoracic abdominal aortic repair.

Dr. Mishra has conducted over 500 successful robotic cardiac surgeries and 1000 redo cardiac surgeries. He has been a leading member of the core Heart team for the development of TAVR at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute and has played an active role in heart transplantation and ventricular assist device procedures.

With a keen interest in training, education, and research, Dr. Mishra has published over 150 scientific papers and has regularly participated in more than 200 international and national conferences to deliver lectures. He has also been instrumental in teaching and training DNB students.

Dr. Mishra’s global outreach includes operating on patients from the USA, UK, Iraq, UAE, Oman, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, and several African and Central Asian countries. He has demonstrated his surgical expertise by performing live cases in workshops in Thailand, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
